RF Skin Tightening

Radio Frequency Skin Tightening

RF lifting is a nonsurgical and non-invasive skin tightening and anti-aging treatment. Stimulates collagen and elastin production. This treatment is suitable for all clients who are concerned with firming the skin and refining the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It can also be used as a preventative treatment for skin that is starting to show the signs of ageing. Sagging skin, wrinkles and fine lines are common issues that stem from genetics or photodamage caused by exposure to the sun. Over time, collagen and elastin, two components present within your skin, break down and cause your skin to lose its elasticity. During a RF skin tightening procedure, heat is used to encourage the production of new collagen and elastin. The renewed production of these components helps to eliminate wrinkles and fine lines, and tightens skin. Which areas of the body can RF treat? RF can effectively treat the entire body depending on your skin concern. Tightens and lifts loose or sagging skin around the jowls, neck, chin, tummy, buttocks, thighs, arms and legs. Tightens, smoothes and improves facial skin tone to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Reduces and smoothes the appearance of cellulite and uneven skin tone. Firms ageing skin, including décolleté, to produce a more youthful appearance. How does it work? RF skin tightening works by targeting the tissue beneath the outer layer of your skin, or epidermis, with radio frequency energy. This energy generates heat, resulting in new collagen production. This procedure also triggers fibroplasia, the process in which the body forms new fibrous tissue and stimulates the production of collagen, causing collagen fibers to become shorter and more tense. At the same time, the molecules that make up collagen are left undamaged. Skin elasticity increases and loose, sagging skin is tightened. What does RF feel like? RF is a painless treatment and most clients will experience zero discomfort. Some find the warm sensation relaxing. How many treatments are required? This will all depend on your individual situation, and we will carefully assess this for you during your consultation. Some clients may only need 4 to 6 treatments, while other may require 10 to 12 to achieve brilliant results. Results When it comes to the tightening and lifting effect of RF, it can produce instant results. You will notice immediate improvements to your skin tone that will just get better with each session. The collagen remodelling aspect of RF takes a little more time and you will reach full benefits of the collagen stimulation around 3 months after treatment. No downtime Some clients may experience redness immediately post treatment, but this typically subsides not long after treatment. As there is no downtime, you can get on with your day as usual. Aftercare It is a good idea to avoid excess sun exposure and always apply sunscreen if going out into the sun post treatment. Caring for your skin will ensure the beautiful results of your RF treatments stay with you for a long time to come.
